1500 subscribers and still going strong! Thank you all for the support! I got a chance today to test out some competition for our Sonata's 0-60 test (which was honestly disappointing). The Altima kicked ass with a 7.5 second 0-60 on only four cylinders. My only complaint: how in the hell did Nissan make this car so quiet? The Nissan Altima: The Nissan Altima was introduced to the market in 1993 to replace the Nissan Stanza. The name "Altima" was at first used as a trim for the Nissan Laurel mid-size car that was sold in Central America and the Caribbean. The Altima is made only in America in Tennessee and Mississippi, but it does share a platform with the Japanese Nissan Teana. The Altima is said to be a continuation of Nissan's Bluebird series which stretches back the Datsun 1000 in 1957. When the Altima was first put in production, the Nissan Stanza was heavily criticized for being boring. The Altima has managed to stay in production from 1993 to the present day with its interesting styling and excellent engineering.
